Turning Red 2022

Description: Turning Red 2022 is directed and co-written by Domee Shi. The movie story takes place in 2002 Toronto where a girl named Meilin lives with her parents. She is a cheerful 13-year-old Canadian of Chinese ancestry. Meilin, like most teenagers with parents, acted one way at home and another at school. She was still a decent girl with straight A’s and friends. She was extroverted, sarcastic, and ham with her buddies. She was dutiful, helpful, and considerably more subdued with her mother, Ming. It’s not that she was restrained at home; she enjoyed assisting and satisfying her mother. It is simply that her mother is a helicopter parent, always hovering over her.
