Description: Maurice is the main focus. They instantly remark how empty everything seems, especially for a market town, as he enters the city with his friend Keith. Food keeps vanishing right in front of everyone’s eyes, and Maurice’s rat friends are aware that something is up. The sinister crime lord who was wearing a terrible disguise to hide his face appears to be the culprit. He has an odd bond with the rats in the city and can call other rats to his side at will as well as instantaneously recognise the approach of fresh rats. Keith, Malicia, and Maurice will have to watch out for him while they investigate secret passageways and other areas in search of information about the missing food. Making a movie like this that appeals to both the Terry Pratchett devout and the general public, including small children, is tricky. I’m happy to report that this movie excels at both. The kids seemed to be especially enthralled.
