A mystery thriller that starts with the newly divorced Rachel Watson on a train which takes every day on her way to work in London. In that way Rachel is forced to go through her old house the one where her husband now lives with a new partner and their son, something that keeps alive a pain that she just wants to forget. Thus as an escape Rachel begins to notice a couple living a few houses down Megan and Scott Hipwell. Until one day witnesses a shocking event from the train window, something that leaves shocked and full of rage. The next day she awake with no memory of the night before the disappearance of Megan and decides to get down to work to discover what happened in those hours that has no memory and what relation does it has with Megan.
