Description: At this point in Cannes, exactly half of the competition films have premiered, meaning audiences are ready to take part in the classic festival rituals. Suppose, for example, that suddenly you show them a stylish and entertaining (but still academic enough) horror film, in which Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley are forced to share physical resources after six days of showing the world’s most demanding films. These viewers tend to go a little nuts, because the film has slick visuals, pulsating electronic music, and a fair amount of skin, and the credits include special credits for many bloody extras. In a few months, Cannes officials will probably be complaining that Coralie Fergie’s “The Substance” is overrated. You can watch popular movies and TV shows on the Afdah website
