Description: A little over a decade ago, I called Tim Burton a failure after his disastrous adaptation of Alice in Wonderland unleashed Disney’s nostalgic trash of the past decade. Since then, I’ve softened my stance. This is in part because I recognize Burton as a talented stylist, but his films are only as good as their scripts. I’ve also grown to love his earlier work, namely the Batman movies and the silly family comedy about the afterlife, Beetlejuice. So it’s no surprise to me that I consider Beetlejuice, the sequel to the 1988 classic, to be Burton’s best work of the last decade. That’s a pretty low bar, though. You can enjoy this movie in high definition on Afdah website.
