In ‘Drop’, Violet faces a traumatic event when her abusive partner holds her toddler son at gunpoint, leading to his tragic death. Understandably, Violet is hesitant to date again. However, she decides to go on her first date since becoming a widow with Henry, a photojournalist, which gives her a chance to unwind at the bar. There, we meet a friendly bartender and an anxious guy waiting for his date, along with a laid-back piano player. But when Henry shows up, the atmosphere shifts. Violet starts receiving airdrop messages from someone nearby. What begins as playful quickly escalates into a nightmare as she’s ordered to comply with the sender, who threatens her young son and babysitting sister.
