Description: The plot of Fast X mostly serves as a pretext for jumping from one action set piece to another, with brief asides on the value of family that hint at, but never really convey, a powerful emotional core. The main theme of the plot is retribution, and the new antagonist Dante Reyes has been retconned into the Fast & Furious series as the off-screen bad guy Hernan Reyes from the Fast Five. Years later, he resurfaces to inflict as much pain as possible on Dom by fabricating an international event and placing the blame on Dom’s family, who are then sought after by the Agency they once worked for.
