Description: Amanda and Clay Standford, a reasonably well-off couple, are featured in the opening scene of Leave the World Behind. Archie and Rose, their two children, reside with them in New York. Amanda reserves a weekend house by the beach just because she feels like it. They could all use a vacation, so Clay is more than willing to go along with this spontaneous plan. The Standfords arrive at a charming home and settle in for a restful weekend. While Amanda is shopping for groceries, she notices a man storing up on adult magazines, water, and ammunition.
