Description: Monkey D. Luffy, a young pirate who draws inspiration from Shanks, is the protagonist of the One Piece manga series. Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King, was executed at the beginning of the series, 22 years before Luffy leaves his hometown and sets sail. The grand line was successfully taken by him alone among all the pirates. He described his treasure, “One Piece,” to the crowd just before he passed away. Many pirates set out to find his treasure after he died, ushering in what would later be known as the Golden Age of Piracy. In his desire to succeed the current Pirate King, Luffy also turns into one. To begin his adventures and journeys, he sets out to assemble his crew.
