Description: The Damned 2025: The story, which was directed by Thordur Palsson, is set in a lonely, remote fjord in Iceland in the 19th century. The film examines issues of survival, loneliness, and the increasing influence of superstition and guilt against a dark background. Eva, a widow, is currently the owner of a fishing boat that she got from her late husband. She must choose between leaving the ship’s crew to their fate and ensuring her people’s survival. The decisions made by Eva and her crew produced a monster. The movie examines guilt. A Nordic creature known as a draugr is used to symbolize that guilt.
