Description: To be honest, the first part of this really got to me. “The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat” by Tina Mabry is a lively, theatrical tale about the friendship that three Black women have enjoyed for many years that takes place in its first hour. The comedy, which is inexactly founded on Edward Kelsey Moore’s novel of similar name, zigs and crosses through the ups and downs of these characters’ personal lives. Its light and blustery tone once in a while reflects that of Black 1990s films like “Soul Food” and “The Best Man,” wherein the heroes’ enduring adoration pushes them over snags in their lives that seem unfavorable. Furthermore, Mabry’s film is a fabulous expansion to that group for some time. Watch the best comedy and drama by streaming free on Afdah movie site.
