Storyline I recently saw War of the Worlds 2025, and it wasn’t what I was used to — in a positive sense. It’s not a boisterous alien film with laser battles and insane CGI. Rather, it is quiet, sluggish, and a little frightening. The film depicts what occurs when folks begin to sense that something is amiss but are unable to articulate why. And when you discover what’s actually taking place, it gets you. The aliens are not attacking from the air like they always do. This time they are already with us — blending in. The people in the movie gradually begin to realize things aren’t normal. Their lives transform day by day, and the suspense mounts. It makes you wonder: what if this actually occurred in real life? The performances are solid, and the narrative is different. It’s not stellar, and the pace could be sluggish to some, but I appreciated the creepy atmosphere it created. It’s all about fear, trust, and survival when you don’t even know who your enemy is. If you enjoy slow-burn sci-fi with a creepy atmosphere, I think it’s worth watching. I streamed it with no problem on afdah movie — ridiculously easy and free.
