Description: The three main characters in this story are Joy, Riley, and Anxiety each of whom contributes in a different way to the overall themes of the movie. But anytime one of these figures appeared on screen I was stopped cold. The way Maya Hawke portrayed Anxiety was really that good. Her voice acting captures the essence of anxiety in real life while retaining the charisma for which she is renowned. Hawke does a fantastic job portraying every emotion, including anxiety overanalyzing and the pure mayhem that can result from any of those things.
