House of the Dragon Season 2

Description: The lengthy peace under King Viserys ended during the roughly 20 years described by House of the Dragon. The show came into its own in the last two episodes of the season laying out the competing claims to the throne made by the Black faction which supports Viserys’s designated heir daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen and the Green faction led by Rhaenyra’s old best friend Alicent Hightower who supports Alicent and Viserys’s youthful reckless son Aegon II. Perhaps predictably the majority of the first season’s focus on time travel and table setup laid the groundwork for a far better second season of House of the Dragon.
